Benefits of a Professional Detailing
Why do people like washing their cars so much, especially on hot summer days? Maybe it’s a way of showing off their new vehicle to the neighborhood. Sure, that’s a good reason, but does it outweigh the benefits of receiving a professional car detailing from a car wash. While there are pros like showing off your vehicle, there are definitely some cons to washing your car at home. These are few things to think about next time your car needs a wash.
Stop Wasting Water
Contrary to popular belief, it’s the person who washes his/her car at home that’s wasting water. It only seems like a professional car wash is wasting more water because their facility is larger. When the average person washes their vehicle at home they use approximately 10 gallons of water a minute. Just think about how long it takes you to wash your vehicle, and you’ll know just how wasteful a home car washing is. On the contrary, a car wash implements advanced water-saving technologies to use only a fraction of that amount.
Keep Your Driveway Clean
As you wash your vehicle at home, you are removing all the oil, dirt, grime, and waste off of the car, and forcing it into your driveway and yard. Your driveway is not a funnel for the sewer, but that’s what it may end up looking like. The car wash has a system that, not only filters out pollutants and recycles the water, but flushes grime away from you, the vehicle, and your yard.
Protect Your Vehicle’s Paint
There must be something about suds; whenever we see them we automatically think safe and clean. When you’re dealing with your vehicle, the same rules do not apply. You need to protect your vehicle’s paint, finish, and luster. Using a soap that is not specially designed for the car wash is doing the exact opposite. Using the household soaps and detergents will leave the paint job looking dull and faded.
Stop Scratching Your Vehicle
You might need to look closely, but your vehicle’s body is being scratched when you use regular sponges and mitts to wash and dry the body. It’s hard to avoid because of the small grains of dirt that are collecting in the sponges. If you look closely, you’ll see many tiny scratches all over your vehicle’s paint job.
The Sun May Not Be Your Friend
Even though the whole idea of washing your car is inspired by a bright and sunny day. The sun is what’s going to allow soap to dry on your car and cause water spots and cause a layer of buildup
